The new generation of the PalletCube volume measuring system determines the volume of a pallet in seconds. The application is very versatile thanks to the industry-safe hardware and flexible mounting options, either fixed to the warehouse ceiling or free-standing by means of a mounting unit/carrier freely accessible from three sides.

The PalletCube volume measuring system is used in the incoming goods area to determine the optimum storage location, in the outgoing goods area to plan the loading

space or determine the best forwarder, as well as to transfer the data to the transport service provider via the shipping system and documents.

Depending on the system configuration, it’s possible to measure loads ranging from half pallets to industrial pallets.

Flexible interfaces (such as SOAP, REST, etc.) and 3D-data export allow a seamless integration into existing processes.

The PalletCube volume measurement system is expected to be available in 2021.

High Speed 360° Dimensioning

The PC2020 outlines the measuring object using the integrated ToF-Cameras. The resulting 3D-Informations will be interpreted, so the dimensions can be calculated considering the position. The entire process only takes a few seconds.

The entire hardware of the PC2020 is based on components, desinged for industrial use. The ambient temperature range is optimized for operating conditions within logistic environment in order to ensure a process-reliable use.

Flexible Interfaces

The PC2020 comes with two trigger options – through a grafical user interface or an communication service for external control. Both options have a variety of flexible and customizable interfaces available e.g. SOAP, REST, SAP/RFC, etc.

Compact Design

Due to the compact design, the entire construction only has a dimension of 2.5 by 2.5 meters. The system can be mounted directly to the ceil. An optional mounting construction is also available. Thus forklifts and other industrial trucks are always able to pass beneath.

Optional Extensions

There are a number of optional extensions available to the PC2020. Including e.g. IP-cameras to photo document the measuring object. Extensible arms to enlarge the base construction including further more ToF-cameras to dimension oversized objects are also available.

Within the dimensioning process the PC2020 is able to segment the 3D-snapshot of the measuring object dynamically. The resulting grid can be reported to the host system through files or interfaces in a standardized format like STL, etc.
