The freight carrier DPD has already informed all its customers about the replacement of the current routing procedure by the new so-called DPD GeoRouting. This changeover involves important changes for all DPD customers, which must be implemented in your shipping system by the turn of the year, otherwise DPD shipping will no longer be possible. You can find more detailed information on the background to this change directly on the DPD website.
In brief: Up to now, the DPD route update has taken place four times a year. With the change to the new GeoRouting, a daily check for new routes & possible update is required. These new DPD requirements are now supported in Heidler’s HVS32 shipping system, a program update and corresponding configuration steps are necessary for the changeover, among other things.
