The Rieck Logistics Group is an internationally active logistics service provider with headquarters in Großbeeren near Berlin. The company has been family-owned for four generations. The Rieck Group employs around 700 commercial and industrial employees at nine locations in Germany Germany and other locations in the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and China.
The range of services offered by the Rieck Logistics Group includes Europe-wide system-guided

Solution

This was achieved by introducing a central background process with a direct connection to the warehouse management system, so that shipping software no longer needs to be operated at the shipping workstation and shipping labels are printed automatically directly on the appropriate network label printer after triggering from the WMS. Thanks to the monitoring service with gateway function and automatic polling, the work process within the company could be optimized and accelerated, enabling central black box operation.

The uncomplicated and transparent offer structure, perfectly matching software modules and excellent support convinced the Rieck Logistik Group to opt for the HVS32 shipping software from Heidler. “Basically, we have exactly the support we need and are very satisfied with the timing and the staff at Heidler,” says Ferenc. The implementation of the system was uncomplicated, quick and smooth thanks to Heidler’s existing expertise. In the course of the cooperation, the initial impressions of the Rieck Logistik Group were continuously confirmed. The large number of available freight carrier modules corresponded exactly to the requirements for a future expansion of the system. In conclusion, Ferenc emphasizes “Technical problems were solved immediately and the connection to new carrier web services such as GLS and DPD also went absolutely smoothly.”
