In future, DHL Parcel will enable its business customers to easily send parcel shipments to other EU countries at drop-off points such as parcel machines or parcel shops. All that is required is to select the new delivery option “Closest Drop Point (CDP)”. It is not necessary to specify a drop-off point in detail. DHL’s foreign delivery partner takes care of this in the destination country.
Business senders benefit twice from using the new delivery option: DHL offers a very easy order with a normally lower price than with door-to-door delivery and the certainty that the shipment will be successfully delivered on the first delivery attempt.
Initially, this option will only be available for Denmark from 1 September 2022. Since November it’s also available for Austria and from January 2023 you can use it in Belgium, Sweden and Finland. In this way, business customers will be able to choose between a “Closest Droppoint (CDP)” delivery and a doorstep delivery. Other European countries will be added in the coming months.
We have implemented the new CDP delivery option in our HVS32 shipping system and it is available immediately.
